Listen up, there are a group of Subway Vandals who are responsible for trains being late, rollsigns missing, endangering themselves and the passengers, and god knows who else what. If we want to keep the NYC Subway system safe, so that later when we grow up we can actually have a job in the MTA, you HAVE to report anything you see. The police already arrested 2 of the subway vandals, but there are many more out there. If you have any information of where the other culprits are, call the NYPD tip line. This is our subway, and we will not some teenage punks ruin our transit system, because the more they do things to the system, the more restrictions we get on rail fanning, or taking pictures on the subway, etc. If you don't already know the story..:
A Subway Vandal group known as the "Conquestors" are responsible for throwing the system into havoic. They steal destination signs from trains, break into train cabs, and once almost blew up a train.
On April 2, 2015, Keyshawn Brown, one of the members of the Subway Vandal group ripped a rollsign out of its socket on a R32, and then threw it onto the tracks at Nostrand Ave and began filming. A C train filled with dozens of people hits the rollsign on the track, which then connected to the third rail and a huge explosion occurred, activating the trains emergency break. Keyshawn later fled the station, having told a witness "he wanted to do it for fun because he was bored."
The video popped up online, and with the help of a fellow rail fanner named DJ Hammers, he posted a video on youtube about the group does, like change rollsigns and trespassing into tunnels. Once, they wouldn't let a (Q) train leave a station because one of the members kept shoving the door back open.
Here is a picture:
Keyshawn Brown was arrested on Tuesday at Coney Island.
And in another video, one of the members who weren't arrested are seen breaking into a cab of a subway car, pushing buttons that could have derailed the train or done something worse. He later comments on the video "I just turned the lights off..."
Here is the video:
They have done a ton of more things, including surfing on the back of subway trains.
The NYC Subway System is a place of travel, and a place of adoring the Subway Trains that go through everyday. Please remember, if your a railfanner, always follow NYC Subway Rules, and never hang out with the wrong people.
What do you think of this?
